Macky Auditorium

  • Macky Auditorium (Richard W. Longstreth)

Crenelated corner towers surmounted by slightly taller engaged octagonal towers distinguish this red sandstone building with its churchy facade. Macky was designed by the same firm that designed the campus power plant (1910) and in a similar Gothic Revival style. It was the last of the Victorian buildings constructed before Klauder's plan was adopted by the university's board of regents in 1918.
