Salida Hot Springs

-A A +A
1937, WPA. 410 W. Rainbow Blvd.

Located in the heart of Centennial Park, Colorado's largest indoor hot springs pool was built by 200 WPA workers to channel hot, clear, odorless spring water into a 25-meter lap pool, a wading pool, and six private hot tubs. The original two-story Mission Revival facade of pink stucco has lost its rounded parapet and upstairs windows during remodelings, which also added a gable roof. Adjacent Centennial Park hosts the Salida History Museum, Chamber of Commerce Information Center, recreational facilities, and a D&RG caboose.
