Fieldstone walls and contrasting lava stone quoins distinguish this one-room school. Fishscale shingles adorn the bell tower and front and back gable ends. Evenly spaced double-hung windows, accented with brick lintels, provide illumination for young scholars. After closing in 1953, this schoolhouse was restored as part of the town's centennial celebration for use as a museum and community center.
