Hotchkiss National Fish Hatchery

1969. 3 miles east at Rd. 150 and Lane 3150 between the D&RG tracks and the North Fork of the Gunnison River

This modern complex includes a small visitors' center and a tank room, thirty-two outdoor raceways, and six mud-bottomed ponds. Hotchkiss annually raises about 1.2 million rainbow trout, nursing them from egg stage to 2-to-9-inch fingerlings.
