Bus Stop (Kiahtipes Summer Ranch House)

-A A +A
Kiahtipes Summer Ranch House
c. 1930. East Vail I-70 exit to Bighorn Rd. near Pitkin Creek

This log structure with the Circle-K brand on the chimney has been restored for use as a bus shelter. The simple notched corner joints are similar to those of the Bauldauf Cabin (1906), 3160 Katsos Ranch Road (at Frontage Road), a two-story, hewn log ranch house now used as the Vail Mountain School.
