Wright-Gregory House

-A A +A
1878, Edward McIntyre. 442 Oak St.

George Wright, brother of Edward, who built the Wright Building and the opera house, bought this two-story, hand-hewn log house for his bride of nineteen, Lenora. Wright had Edward McIntyre, who had built the home a year earlier, cover the hewn logs with siding and add dormer windows and the living room bay. Doris Gregory, an educator who has written numerous books on Ouray County history, has long resided in this well-preserved, picturesque home.
