This two-story wooden house stands out from the Queen Anne houses of Granbury and was built to replace one. The house is classic Prairie Style, with low-pitched hipped roofs with deep eaves and a one-story wraparound porch carried on piers that extend to form a porte-cochere. Attorney B. M. Estes moved to Granbury in 1874, practicing law until 1938. He served as county judge and mayor and had real estate interests.
