Coalwood Community United Methodist Church

-A A +A
Early 20th century. West of the clubhouse

Although it has been re-sided in recent years, this Georgian Revival frame church still resembles a New England meetinghouse with its clean, simple lines. A pedimented double door protected by a tetrastyle Tuscan portico leads into the sanctuary. A tower with several stages culminates in a simple spire.
