Grace Episcopal Church

-A A +A
1889, Lannan Brothers, builders. Southwest corner of W. Main and Linderman Ave. (NR)

Intricate board-and-batten siding sheathes this frame church with a rose window, Gothic lancets, and Carpenter's Gothic detailing on the frame buttresses and arched entry hood. The steep gable roof is capped by a square, open belfry. Inside, exposed timber trusses are trimmed with turned pendants and curved brackets and accented by a Gothic arch setting off the chancel. The church was consecrated on September 13, 1889, by a congregation founded in 1882.
