Unlike casinos in Las Vegas and Jean, which also take the form of a great riverboat, the Colorado Belle is actually located on a riverbank. Though the core of the building is a long rectangular block, decks, black smokestacks, and a large side paddlewheel give the building its distinctive appearance. As in other casinos, the Colorado Belle's interior shuts out any sense of the outdoors. It is inspired by a generic interpretation of late Victorian style, with dark red carpets and flocked wallpaper. A hotel tower stands to the north.

The casino closed during the coronavirus pandemic of 2020.
