Its sculpted dolphins spouting sculpted water from the cornice recall the fountains of Baroque Rome. In 1917, Sturdevant and Poggi (now without Welsh) designed the Masonic Temple at 23 N. Franklin Street, another Roman essay whose giant columns in antis recall a different era of the ancient city.
