Built as the Brownfield Savings and Loan Association and occupied by the city in 1990, this building is a wonderful combination of 1950s mannerisms, including horizontally stratified fieldstone walls and a folded-plate canopy. The main banking room, now used by the utility department, is illuminated by a clerestory window and has exposed fieldstone and scored wooden paneling. The influence of Frank Lloyd Wright is apparent.
