The scale and texture of the late Victorian–era city continues south of Market Street. Philadelphia's best run of Vertical Style or Art Deco buildings appears in the 1400 to 1600 blocks of Walnut Street and marks the final shift of the old downtown to the new center in the vicinity of City Hall.
