Oppenheimer Building

Erected by a Mrs. Oppenheimer, who ran a millinery shop, each of this building's three stories is superbly proportioned and detailed. The design source for this Italianate structure was Venetian architecture. The glass-fronted shopfront at street level is highlighted by a recessed center door, which is flanked by curved glass display windows. The first floor is a cast iron structure, while the upper floors are brick with cast iron caps on the window heads. The bracketed cornice is galvanized iron.
