Although the three attached Italianate houses that once composed the Harris Block have been all but been obscured by storefronts, the one on the corner, which houses the Third Street Diner, is a twenty-four-hour-a-day landmark. Its exterior neon signage and interior detailing in pressed aluminum evoke American diners of the 1930s and 1940s.
