With a jumble of stairways, pergolas, balconies, flat roofs, and steep, skewed gable roofs, the center blends old and new in an engaging modern composition. Three stories of shops enclose a below-street-level garden courtyard. Meandering galleries and a glass elevator look down upon the shopping complex's delightful central space. Whispering streams and koi ponds embellish the courtyard, as do a trickling waterfall and an outdoor bar.
