Haas House (now Ox Yoke Inn)

-A A +A
now Ox Yoke Inn
c. 1855. South side of Iowa 220, 2 blocks east of Iowa 149

The simple, unadorned brick house has, to a degree, been engulfed by an offshoot of several wings. As in a good number of Amana buildings, the street front of the house is the gable end of the building. The proportions and details relate to the Greek Revival.
