Beaux-Arts Classicism, almost of the richness displayed at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition, prevails here. The really inventive element of the design comes from the way in which the architects introduced the pedimented entrance, set within a two-story arch that breaks through the horizontal masonry of the raised basement story.
