The Barbican

-A A +A
1979, Englebrecht, Rice and Griffin. 3920 Grand Ave.

A 42—unit condominium is accommodated here in a complex that includes an 11-story building. Though the buildings are of exposed concrete, the curved corners (with their curved corner windows) hark back to the Streamline Moderne of the 1930s. A bridgelike unit connects the high-rise and low-rise buildings at the third- and fourth-floor levels. A 60-car garage is part of the project.
