This is a mid-nineteenth-century interpretation of the tradition of the rural or village English church. The scale is small, as is generally the case with Episcopal churches, and the fineness of detailing is well carried out. In plan, this church has a corner entrance tower and buttressed side walls. In 1898 two bays were added to the church; in 1904 the ceiling was removed and the beamed roof was exposed.
