House

-A A +A
c. 1885. 611 Central Ave. S.

At the front and on each side of this dwelling are cantilevered gable ends with a slightly protruding pattern of bargeboards delineated below the projecting roof soffits. Sections of the walls of this two-story clapboard house exhibit crisscross patterns, and the thin vertical windows are joined together at the lintels and sills by horizontal banding. It all adds up to a well-carried-out version of the Eastlake (Stick) style.
