This row of semidetached town houses on Floyd Avenue displays one of the largest groupings of cast iron porches in Richmond. The porches date from the pinnacle of the popularity of cast iron in the closing decades of the nineteenth century. Italianate row houses such as these were common throughout Richmond in the 1870s and 1880s. These are of interest because of the alternating receding and projecting facades.
