Willeke House

A strong Prairie-style design, the Willeke house is quite similar to many of the Chicago suburban dwellings of the firm of Tallmadge and Watson. The theme of the gable is asserted in the street facade of the house and then is repeated below in the first-floor living porch. The surface of the lower walls of the house are clothed in horizontal boards up to the first-floor window sills; above this are stucco surfaces divided into panels by linear patterns of boards. The header of the central attic window is V-shaped, and it mirrors the slope of the roof.
