The Eastlake style in Iowa often tended to produce some of the state's most interesting examples of “Victorian” architecture. This house is one of them. The roof is composed of several low-pitched gables, each emblazoned with intricate sawed wood openwork The entrance porch, with stairs at a 45-degree angle to the corner, is one of the most intriguing designs found in Iowa.
