Belfry Condominiums (Third Presbyterian Church Complex)

-A A +A
Third Presbyterian Church Complex
1876. 1890, manse. 1929, Sunday school buildings. 1979, condominium renovation, Glave, Newman, Anderson. 2519 E. Broad St.

This brick Gothic Revival Presbyterian church had become redundant by the mid-1970s and was scheduled to be demolished. Instead, it and the attached buildings were transformed into a housing complex in an excellent example of adaptive reuse that preserved both housing stock and an important local landmark.
