This Colonial Revival building was erected to provide larger facilities for Customs and Immigration at Pembina, a major entry point between the United States and Winnipeg, Canada. Postal functions take up less than one-third of the interior floor space. The exterior walls are wire-cut red brick laid in English bond detailed with limestone keystones, fluted pilasters, and dentils. The handsomely proportioned two-story central section is gambrel roofed, as are the flanking wings, and is fronted by a deep porch.
