In its plan and Gothic styling, this church follows the precepts of New York’s Ecclesiological Society, a group that in the mid-nineteenth century influenced the design of Episcopal churches throughout America, but is unusual in that it is constructed mainly of brick rather than stone. The local Pembina Brick Company fabricated the brick. The Gothic features include a corner bell tower entrance, steeply pitched gable roof, side vestry, chancel, and stained glass lancet windows. There are two buttresses, one on the north corner and the other on the rear northwest elevation, and both appear to be original features.
