Of particular interest in demonstrating the evolving domestic architecture of the region is this log house for a Windsor chair maker, Samuel Moon. The house's earlier portion follows the regional norm of a stone basement surmounted by a hewn log crib, infilled with lime-clay plaster, a type derived from northern European models, while the rear portion follows English framing systems.
