The principal commercial street of Media, State Street is accented by four modest public buildings amidst its small-town America retail buildings. One is this post office that was dedicated on July 4, 1918. Its Tuscan portico and Flemish bond brickwork are ubiquitous Colonial Revival, but the pierced work wood panels with shields and swags recall the drilled carvings of mantels and cabinets of the region.
