Citizens Bank Center (Miners Bank Building)
This fourteen-story behemoth frosted in white terra-cotta is the last tall building by Burnham's office before his death. It is a key work of the City Beautiful movement in Wilkes-Barre by the Chicago architect who presided over the birth of the movement at the World's Columbian Exposition of 1893. Typical of the firm's office towers, it is noteworthy for the polychromed ceiling of the banking hall, one of the finer business spaces to be found in downtown.
