Two mills can be seen near Loysville. The older is the four-story stone mill built by J. W. Heim in 1830, two miles south of Loysville in Toboyne Township. It is now the property of the Keystone Council of the Boy Scouts of America. In 1839, Benjamin Waggoner purchased the stone mill built by Fredrick Briner that is two miles west of Loysville off PA 274.
