House

-A A +A
c. 1890. 1313 Jeffress St.

This two-story Queen Anne frame house displays a variety of forms and textures to produce a rich composition. Anchoring one corner of the house is a dramatic round corner tower sheathed in patterned shingles and capped with a slate dome. A one-story porch with Doric columns runs across the facade and wraps around the tower. On the second story a one-bay porch framed by an elliptical arch carried on short Ionic columns is crowned by a bellcast roof.
