Commercial Building (Mount Jackson Theatre)
This theater replaced an earlier one destroyed by fire. The Art Deco building's upper story has a central glass-block window framed in large panels of black Carrara glass. A triangular marquee shelters the entrance and is flanked by two storefronts, one still with black Carrara glass surrounding its display window. Black Carrara glass also surrounds the storefront of the commercial building at 5989 Main. The former People's Bank (c. 1904; 5934 Main) is a small building with two Ionic columns on brick bases and an entablature carved with wreaths and garlands.
