At the core of today's base, which has been much expanded, is a horseshoe-shaped plan. At the head of the horseshoe is Quarters No. 1, the commanding officer's quarters. This is a two-story, hip-roofed house, now covered with vinyl siding. Arrayed around the horseshoe are officers' quarters, twelve-unit, two-story buildings with hip roofs and gable-roofed vestibules. These also have been covered with vinyl siding.
