Weeks-Stribling-Clegg House

-A A +A
1906; 1925 remodeled, Harvey L. Page. 510 W. French Pl.

Inventor Frank W. Weeks first built a six-room cottage, which burned in less than a year and was replaced with this house. The Moorish villa character is primarily reflected in its covered entrance porch ornamented by a horseshoe-shaped arcade, a feature that was probably added by Page for the Cleggs in 1925. An Italianate tower at the northwestern corner of the house adds an asymmetrical touch, although it is unknown whether this was original or another addition by Page.
