Thomas T. Connally Veterans Medical Center (Veterans Administration Hospital)
The complex is a modest red brick grouping of multistory institutional buildings and among the largest buildings in the town. Original drawings were completed by Harvin C. Moore of Houston in November 1945 for a naval hospital that later materialized into a full hospital facility. The building was transferred to the State of Texas in 2007 and is being rehabilitated for a Texas Department of Criminal Justice Hospital.
