  • Kodiak Cottage (Jet Lowe)

The Kodiak cottage is another bungalow, moved from the station at Kalsin Bay, Kodiak, in 1923. The cottage was “ready-cut,” referring to lumber cut to specification before shipment, and erected at Kalsin Bay in 1917. The six-room house is one and a half stories with a gable front. The gable-roofed porch is offset but shares the slope of one roof plane. The wood-framed building, covered with wood shingles, had a bathroom and a concrete foundation.
