Rhyolite stonework shines on this simple Gothic Revival chapel built for an Episcopalian congregation. In 1903 the growing “Little Israel” community along West Colfax Avenue purchased the church, whose service as a synagogue is commemorated by the Star of David on the roof and a Hebrew inscription over the door, while Gothic-arched windows recall its original Episcopalian affiliation.
