This house pays homage to the Vienna Secession, and Josef Maria Olbrich’s work, in particular, informs the design of the house through its use of planar stucco walls, parapeted gables that cantilever out from the base in a series of irregular vertical increments, and the semicircular porch. However, the house lacks the surface ornamentation typical of Secessionist work. The house is located on the western edge of the Park Street residential district, notable for its many fine eclectic and Prairie Style residences.
