The Llano Brick and Lumber Company supplied $600 worth of materials for this one-story, L-plan house, built for Alice Hester and Frank H. Hargon. Shortly after completion, it was sold to rancher and banker Edna J. Moore, who in 1928 married pecan grower Julius Seaholm and lived here from 1892 until her death in 1953. Despite the wealth of high-quality masonry available locally, the house is built of wood, with extensive jigsaw and spindle work on porch rails, posts, gable infills, and bargeboards. Edna Seaholm was the only child of prominent banker Thomas J. Moore, once rated as one of the richest stockmen in Central Texas.
