Dallas DeWeese, who platted the surrounding Lincoln Park neighborhood thirty years earlier, built this two-story, thirteen-room log house with gables, balconies, decorative shingles, and ornamental porch columns that relieve the dark wood and heavy massing. De Weese was a noted hunter who collected big game trophies from all over the world and contributed specimens to the Denver Museum of Natural History and other institutions. In appreciation, the Dall sheep, a snowy white mountain beast, was named for him. His Queen Anne Style house was designed as a hunting lodge. It is now a bed and breakfast inn.
