La Veta Pass Narrow-Gauge Railroad Depot

-A A +A
c. 1877. 13 miles west of La Veta on the south side of the old La Veta Pass Rd. (NR)

One of Colorado's oldest depots is built of the handsome local sandstone, later stuccoed and painted white. Sited on the east side of La Veta Pass near the ruins of a turntable, this single-story, L-shaped station continued to serve wagons and trucks after the narrow-gauge railroad abandoned it.
