In 1914 German Catholics built a small, high-spired frame church, which was dismantled in 1963 and replaced by this contemporary brick church. Six stained glass windows by Belgian artist Bradi Barth incorporate bits of local color: the creation scene includes the cat that became the artist's constant companion as she worked, while another window includes the old frame church in the background.
