Land's End Shelter Cabin

1939, CCC. 10 miles east of Whitewater atop Grand Mesa on the Land's End Road

From Whitewater, the scenic Land's End dirt road twists up Grand Mesa to attain spectacular views. At the cliff top sits a rough shelter with moss-covered native volcanic rock walls, a stone floor, and log ceiling beams. An observation deck overlooks the canyon lands of western Colorado. Nearby is a rustic stone eight-hole outhouse.
