Robert Leathers, a prominent playground designer from Ithaca, New York, interviewed Frisco children before creating this huge wooden fantasy next to the elementary school. The stockade-like design, constructed by town volunteers, is unified by triangular towers atop a maze of wooden playground apparatus. Leathers has also created playgrounds for Denver, Idaho Springs, Manitou Springs, and Steamboat Springs.
