Midland Terminal Railroad Depot

1895. 230 N. 4th St. (southeast corner of Granite Ave.)

One of Victor's first brick structures and its only surviving railroad depot has a hipped roof with wide, bracketed eaves to shelter waiting passengers. The bay window gave station workers a clear view of the tracks. Large, arched freight doors allowed baggage carts to be easily maneuvered. Inside, the ticket sales window, telegraph window, passenger waiting area, and freight and baggage storage areas remain much as they were from 1894 to 1949, when the Midland Terminal Railroad provided passenger service.
