Salisbury Laboratories, Research, and Administrative Buildings

-A A +A
1969, Perkins and Will. West on Iowa 14

The center of this design is the landscaped courtyard around which the low buildings have been grouped. A wide variety of plant material (all identified for the viewer) grows within the courtyard, which also contains paved terraces, banks of low steps, fountains, and a pool. The buildings are simple modular structures which seem self-effacing in relation to the landscape design. The buildings are of concrete, with extensive infills of glass.
