Beside the drive up the hill from Nevada 28 is the one-story gatekeeper's house, a miniature version of the main house. A front-facing gabled section contains an arched opening for the main entrance, which is flanked by iron lanterns. Small casement windows with diamond-shaped panes are at either side. Flat wrought iron deer decorate the chimneys. A wrought iron entry gate connects with the south side of the house.
