Twin Pond Farm (Beriah Collins House)

-A A +A
Beriah Collins House
c. 1760, c. 1790, 1989. 142A Old Plainfield Pk. (pole 142; .8 mile east of Route 102)

This farmhouse undoubtedly started out as a two-and-one-half-story half house with an end chimney (now rebuilt), to which a one-and-one-half-story ell was added. The graduated siding of the front elevation is exceptional in the narrowness of the clapboards. All, however, is seriously compromised by an inappropriate modern addition.
