Boggs House

-A A +A
1866, Thomas Boggs. Colorado 101, 1.75 miles southeast of Las Animas

The Boggsville Revitalization Committee began restoration of this Territorial Style adobe house in 1985. A concrete foundation, brick chimneys, and a new roof were added to the U-plan house, and the old adobe was stabilized and covered with a lime plaster. Sections of the interior have been left unaltered to show the original stone foundation, pine roof, and 30-inch-thick adobe walls.
